When you first set foot in the streets of Little Kitty, Big City, you’ll encounter a few unfriendly dogs. Unlike your Shiba pal, Big Potato, these canines won’t exactly stop for a chat. Instead, their barking will send you running in the opposite direction. This can make getting around a tough task, especially if you’re looking to collect hats and shinies. Here’s how to get past dogs with one simple trick in Little Kitty, Big City.
How to Pass Dogs in Little Kitty, Big City
On your Little Kitty playthrough, there are just two obstacles to overcome in the city: puddles and dogs. While there’s not much you can do about leaky pipes and hoses, dogs are relatively easy to outsmart. You’ll find three leashed to different areas of the city, typically safeguarding new locations and collectible hats. To safely pass through, you’ll just need to drop a bone in each dog’s dish.
This keeps them occupied for the remainder of the game, allowing you complete access to the city and earning you the Give a Dog a Bone achievement in the process. That being said, it’s a good idea to pick up any bones you find, though approaching dogs with these peace offerings alone won’t stop them from herding you away. To go unnoticed, it’s best to sneak in from behind.
Where to Find Bones
There are just as many bones to find as there are guard dogs in Little Kitty. I grabbed my first bone in Big Potato’s yard and ran it over to the nearest bowl, but I noticed they’re generally available in the areas they’re needed.
For example, one dog blocks off a cul-de-sac marked by construction barricades. You can squeeze into the site by using a crawl space. Inside, you’ll find a bone and the Butterfly Hat — one of my personal favorite accessories. Trash cans are also reliable sources of shinies and other items, so be sure to go dumpster-diving whenever you can.
