Waveplate is one of the most important resources in Wuthering Waves. It’s scarce, but it’s used for getting the best gear and character stats, and managing it on a day-to-day basis is crucial for long-term progress. Here’s how to get and use Waveplate in Wuthering Waves.
How to Get and Use Waveplate in Wuthering Waves
Waveplate in Wuthering Waves is used to claim rewards from World Bosses. These are special boss fights unlocked at Union Level 10, where you can grab ascension materials for your characters, weapons, and Echoes. World Bosses are free to fight, and you can even claim their Echoes, but to actually claim what they drop, you need 60 Waveplates. Each World Boss drops a specific ascension material, so check what your character, weapon, or Echo needs for ascending and then focus on farming that boss.
The maximum capacity of Waveplates is 240 per day, and they regenerate daily. You get one Waveplate for every six minutes that pass in real-time per account. Essentially, this means that you can claim ascension upgrades and other rewards from World Bosses four times per day. That said, you can also artificially restore Waveplate with items like Crystal Solvents. These instantly give you 60 Waveplate upon use.
Chances are you’ll have some Crystal Solvents in your Backpack in the last tab on the left. You can unlock more through various means by leveling up your Union rank, Data Bank, or Battle Pass (Pioneer Podcast). However, I wouldn’t recommend activating them if you’re full on Waveplates since this will stop passive regeneration. Only activate Crystal Solvents right before you use Waveplates to claim World Boss gear rewards.
